Does OTEC provide warranty coverage?

OTEC warranty coverage depends on the product, glass, hardware, installation scope and written project terms; the applicable coverage should be confirmed in the quotation or contract. A general statement cannot define the duration, remedy, exclusions or maintenance obligations for every system. Different components may also have different conditions, and damage from misuse, alteration, lack of care, site movement or unrelated building work may be treated differently.

Before approval, ask for the actual warranty wording and keep the final drawings, product schedule, handover records and care guidance. Warranty review is easier when an issue is documented with photos, location, date and operating history rather than described only as a product failure.

Decision points

  • Owner: Check who is covered, what is excluded, how to report a concern and which maintenance actions are expected.
  • Architect/designer: Align the specified system, glass, hardware, exposure and installation scope with the written warranty conditions.
  • Contractor/builder: Record installation details, protection, adjustments, handover condition and any outstanding works.

Review the OTEC FAQ hub for related guidance, then contact OTEC for the written terms that apply to a specific quotation or project.
