Does OTEC provide both supply and installation?

Yes, OTEC can support combined supply-and-installation scopes for qualified aluminum window, door and glass projects, with the inclusions set out in the quotation or contract. A combined scope may involve consultation, site measurement, fabrication, delivery and installation, but it does not automatically include every building-interface activity. Substrate repair, scaffolding, electrical work, waterproofing beyond the specified joint, permits, protection or other trades should be clarified.

Installation responsibility also affects how dimensions, tolerances, access, storage, sequencing and handover are managed. The most useful comparison is between complete written scopes, not between a product-only price and an installed price.

Decision points

  • Owner: Ask for a plain-language list of what is included, excluded, measured, supplied, installed and covered after handover.
  • Architect/designer: Coordinate the installation details, sill and perimeter interfaces, glass, hardware, tolerances and responsibility matrix.
  • Contractor/builder: Prepare openings, access, storage, lifting, protection and sequencing according to the agreed method.

See the project support page and contact OTEC for a scope discussion. Share drawings, quantities, location and whether the project requires supply only or supply plus installation.
