OTEC DAILY / RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS
Ghost Door Delivery and Installation in Quezon City
The clean lines of a sliding ghost door now complement a residential interior in Quezon City, offering a minimalist look without the swing space required by a conventional hinged door.
OTEC completed the delivery and installation of the glass door, with careful attention to the condition of the existing wooden flooring.
Project Overview
The team began by inspecting the opening and laying out the position of the bottom support before proceeding with installation.
During the initial visit, uneven wooden flooring presented a concern for the door rollers, which required a stable surface for proper movement.
After discussing the condition with the client and the in-house caretaker, the installers temporarily removed the glass panel to protect it while the necessary adjustments were arranged.
On their return, the team installed a metal flat bar at the base to support the rollers and help prevent them from sinking into the wooden flooring.
Project Highlights
1. Careful Site Inspection
The installation team inspected the existing doorway and identified a flooring condition requiring additional attention.
2. Reinforced Bottom Support
A metal flat bar was positioned and installed to provide a stable supporting surface for the door rollers.
3. Final Alignment and Testing
The team completed the alignment, applied silicone for finishing, and tested the sliding door's operation.
Project Gallery
The project photographs show the glass door's black frame, the team checking its positioning, and the doorway during installation.
Together, the images document the practical steps behind the finished interior feature, from assessing existing conditions to carefully installing the sliding assembly.

Project Completion
With the bottom support in place, the team installed the panel frame and accessories, aligned the door, and applied silicone for sealing and finishing.
The work area was cleaned before the door was tested, and the team confirmed that the installation operated successfully.
The completed project combines a contemporary appearance with the practical advantage of sliding access, reflecting the careful assessment and adjustments involved in working within an existing home.
